Quick! The show is tonight! Head over to the Q Café in Seattle for some free-trade espresso and listen to Andrew Ripp and buddy Steve Moakler croon. The show starts at 8:00 but you should file in around 7:30, tickets are available at the door. Ripp writes and sings his own songs so maybe pack some tissues if you are in an emotional mood because his words come from the heart.
Are you missing your study abroad days or dreaming of exotic travel while worrying that the savings account is empty? Head up to Edmonds Community College and tap your toes along to 3 Glorias, Flamenco en Vivo en Edmonds. I bet you never thought of Edmonds as getting particularly living la vida loca but after a few bars from the Spanish Gypsy artist you will probably don a handkerchief and hit the road for the traveling life. Show is on Oct 22, a Saturday, tickets are $12-$15.
If you need an extra 5-6 days heads notice to clear your buys calendar then set aside Friday October 28 for Jeff Beck at the Moore Theatre. Doors open at 7:00 and show starts swinging at 8:00 pm. This Englishman will bring you into his childhood in England with his own interpretations of the music he grew up with. It is bound to be a stellar show. Also, if you are a planner, consider picking up some tickets early for Clap Your Hand Say Yeah, who is performing their latest album at the Neptune Theatre on November 8th. The name says it all – you will be clapping your hands and screaming YEAH!
Enjoy the tunes!
