Android Hero Record Release Weekend Night #1

Android Hero has quietly been taking the town by storm. In the three years they've been around, they've played some of the best sets I can remember in town. Mixing New Wave with Metal and Hardcore punk, they ride a bizarre line of angry, bitter, intense, yet poppy, hooky, repetitive and comepletely original sounding. Ear smashing drums, thick bass, heavy guitar, and a pair of great vocalists with ranges from deep, to screaming to actually singing.

They sound like a lot of things you've heard before, but don't sound really like any other band than Android Hero.  

Their full length is coming out, I've been waiting a year for it, and I persoanally cannot wait until I can finally get my hands on it Thirsday November 19th at the Funhouse. Kicking off the first of three nights celebrating their new release, Thursday's show features Rats Eyes (from San Diego, featuring members of The Locust, Sirhan Sirhan and Hostile Comb-Over!), Mobil Slaughter Unit (Snitches Get Stiches), and the always entertaining Same Sex Dictator.

Not to be missed, what a bill!
