The Dusty 45s Album Release Party

Be the First to Comment!

The Dusty 45s’ highly anticipated new studio album set for release on March 27, 2010!

Their first studio album in five years, Fortunate Man contains a collection of 10 original Dusty 45s songs, including Walking in the Rain, River From My Eyes, and the title track, all of which have quickly become crowd favorites at recent live shows.

Infused by a passion for American roots music in all its varied forms, Fortunate Man blurs the line between genres to create a style that is, in it’s final distillation, entirely fresh and new. Singer/Songwriter, Billy Joe Huels, paints his personal and illustrative stories with his signature ’65 Gibson steel string guitar, and combines elements ranging from honky-tonk and swing to pure rock. Enter in Seattle’s finest with top-notch vocal harmonies, twangy guitars, upright bass and drums, top it off with Huels’ fiery trumpet and The Dusty 45s’ unique sound is complete. Read more

The Star DevilsThe Star DevilsThe Star Devils - ignite their fire-driven rockabilly and hillbilly bop with a traditional sound and a dangerous talent for blowing away your billy-bop blues. Regarded as one of the best bands on the Rockabilly circuit; these three Kentucky Kats have a fever for the bone breaking billy that's sure to set your feet a-tappin and your tongues a-waggin ! Taking their cues from the pioneers of those rock boppin' beats, they have an uncanny ability to play and perform the sounds of yesterday with their own style. Read more

Cash'd OutCash'd OutCash'd Out - was born in late 2004 when Douglas Benson met Kevin Manuel through an ad in The Reader. The main purpose for starting the band was to create an authentic tribute to the Man in Black, Johnny Cash. After acquiring stand-up bass player, Sean Glithero, the band began learning every Cash song possible. By January 2005, the Cash'd Out was ready to play live. Once people heard the authentic sounds of the band, the word started to spread around the Southwest and Cash'd Out's popularity has been growing ever since.

Stupid in StereoStupid in StereoStupid in Stereo - Wandering through the radioactive wasteland of Southeast Washington, a trio of ragged survivors scoured the desolate landscape in search of the nectar of the red, white, and blue can. Ever vigilant to their dangerous surroundings, our heroes fought their way through roving hoards of zombies and other hideous creatures spawned by the atomic landscape. After many narrow escapes and epic battles, they arrived at a hidden watering hole within the ruins of Kennewick. To their delight, they found the bar well stocked with Pabst Blue Ribbon. That happiness wouldn't last long, as they soon drank themselves out of money. After much drunken deliberation, a solution was reached, MUSIC! By forming a band they could travel from bar to bar, receiving free beer in exchange for entertaining the local drunkards. Read more

TumbledownTumbledownTumbledown - Mike Herrera may be best known for being the frontman of MxPx but his solo project, Tumbledown, is the flipside of MxPx's distinctive punk rock sound. Herrera's country music project may have been a long time coming but it's definitely worth the wait. The record is out now through End Sounds.
